When you walk a city street at night,
do you feel the starlight discreetly grasp
and lead you deeper into
wonder, rest, and joy?
Would you like to visit a restaurant where the starlight and city lights illuminate the limestone outer wall of an ancient city?
Float your blissed-out heart to Te’enim.
It’s one of my favorite restaurants in Jerusalem. And having lived in Israel and Palestine for three years, I know many of the restaurants. This one is particularly captivating. It is a vegetarian restaurant; and it’s invigoratingly creative, tranquil, and lovely. The service is gentle and warm; and the dishes are incredibly tasty.
Do note that they are not open on Saturdays, as is common with many restaurants in Jerusalem. Moreover, the space is small so, reservations are a smart choice.
Have you been to Te’enim? What dish do you recommend?
Would you like to describe your experience in a brief poem?
We’d love that. :)
